I have to say sorry to all of you that I have not written anything here for so longer. Nevertheless, the subscription number rise somehow, which I don't know why.

Why I suddenly write something here today? Because I have started a new blog: Wandering around Financial Cities (http://louis-fina.blogspot.com). I write there on finance, economics, and others. Do subscribe to my new blog.

To those who are concerned about the CFA exam, I am delighted to tell you all that I have passed the level I and now going for the level II. For those who will take the June exam, work hard together to pass!

Hey Louis,
Congratulations on passing level 1 exam!! I read ur blog..must say very interesting...I m also going to take CFA level 1 in June 2009. was enrolled for June'08 exam but did not appear as i did not prepare..like you I also dont have any finance background and was studying with CFA material... coz of my lack of self-motivation and due to lengthy CFA material I found it very difficult...but now I hav started preparing for it and this time with Schweser notes and I hope I will be able to do it!! Wish u luck for level2!! tc

Congratulations Louis!

I am also on my way to getting my CFA designation. I'm still an undergraduate at my college, but will require 2 more years.

Hi Louis,

Congratulations on passing level 1.
I am from Hong Kong as well but I go to school in LA. I am taking the CFA level 1 exam in December. I double major in accounting and finance so the material is not that difficult for me since I have some background. Did you use notes from Schweser or Stella? Or did you enroll in like a course? I just brought Schweser notes and I am planning to buy the videos as well. Anyway, good luck with your level 2 exam~!
